Affidavit: San Augustine man sexually assaulted underage girl numerous times

DIBOLL, TX (KTRE) -

The Precinct 4 Constable’s Office arrested a 29-year-old San Augustine man Tuesday in connection to allegations that he sexually assaulted and molested an underage girl numerous times at a home in Diboll.

Johnathan Martin Williford is still being held in the Angelina County jail on a first-degree aggravated sexual assault charge and a second-degree indecency with a child charge. No bail amounts have been set at this time for his charges.

According to the arrest affidavit, Williford came to the Diboll Police Department in reference to allegations of indecency with a child under the age of 17. During the interview, Williford allegedly admitted that the allegations were true and said that it had happened about four times from August to October.

“During the interview, it shows the defendant was deceptive or lying about the number of times it occurred,” the affidavit stated.

Williford said that in July, he went into a bedroom and started kissing the alleged victim, the affidavit stated. After Williford allegedly pulled the girl’s underwear down, he sexually assaulted her.

Two days later, Williford tried again, the affidavit stated. He allegedly started kissing them victim and touching her breast before she told him to stop.

Eventually, Williford admitted that the incidents occurred two or three times a month from February or March to October, the affidavit stated. He also allegedly told the Diboll PD investigators about other incidents that occurred outside the City of Diboll.

According to the affidavit, Williford told police that he started by kissing the alleged victim in November 2014. He also allegedly said the encounters progressed to kissing the girl’s stomach by December of that year.
