ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Deputies with the Angelina County Sheriff's Office arrested a 33-year-old Huntington woman in connection to allegations that she lied about her only income being from child support to collect $2,188 worth of food stamps.
Jennifer Lynn Young was arrested on Oct. 29 and charged with state-jail felony securing execution of document by deception between $1,500 and $20,000. She posted a $2,500 bail amount and was released from the Angelina County Jail on Oct. 30.
According to the arrest affidavit, Young made a "false entry into a government record. On a Form 100 A/B used by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services used to obtain food stamps, Young allegedly said that her household only income was child support when she worked at Beacon Legal Support LP from July 1, 2008 to June 29, 2009.
According to the arrest affidavit, because Young lied on the form, she committed theft in the amount of $2,188.
