NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Investigators with the Nacogdoches Police Department are looking into a deadly conduct incident early Tuesday morning in which someone shot a firearm into a home in the 3200 block of Durst Street and nearly hit a sleeping child.

According to Sgt. Greg Sowell, a spokesman for the Nacogdoches Police Department, the incident occurred at about 3:00 a.m. Sunday. He said the bullet entered the side of the house and lodged in the wall of a bedroom where a child had been sleeping.

The case is still under investigation, and no one is in custody at this time. The complainant told police that she plans to file charges if a suspect is identified.
