NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Third time's a charm for one Nacogdoches business owner who can't seem to catch a break.
Ilona Girard moved her alteration's business to Nacogdoches once Hurricane Katrina caused her to evacuate New Orleans.
Ten years after Katrina and starting over here in East Texas, her business was once again destroyed, this time due to a car crashing into it.
Now she's back with a new location and says giving up just isn't in her nature.
"How can I give up? No, this is my nature, I cannot give up. Just like I never cried because I just have to think of what's the next step or how I can correct something or how I can make something better," said Ilona Girard, owner of The Red Thread.
Girard says while the official opening of 'The Red Thread' isn't until December first - she's eager to keep Nacogdoches looking its best.
