LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The weather conditions have been the cause of a lot of event cancellations across East Texas on Saturday, but one event decided to make a comprise.
Saturday the Honor America Night in Lufkin has been rescheduled, but organizers still had a hot dog supper for people who purchased tickets. The supper is usually combined with performances from LISD school bands and a fireworks show to honor veteran.
On a positive note if you weren't able to make it Saturday, then you're in luck. LISD bands will be performing on Monday.
"If you haven't been to a Lufkin football game you haven't had a chance to see the band," Ken Kelly, band boaster president said. "These kids work very hard, put a lot of time and effort into it. This is an opportunity for you to see how much work they've done."
Honor America night will be held at Lufkin high school. The gate opens at 6pm, and the show will start at 7pm.
Tickets are $5.00 at the gate.
