NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department arrested an 18-year-old man Sunday in connection to allegations that he stole expensive jewelry from two homes.

Tristan Franklin Mock, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches Jail on two state-jail felony theft between $2,500 and $30,000 charges. No bail amounts have been set at this time.

According to one of the arrest affidavits, a woman came to the Nacogdoches Police Department on Nov. 1 in reference to a theft that had occurred at her home on Robinhood Street. The woman said that she hired two people to do some yard work at her house, and after the work was finished, she noticed that a diamond ring valued at $20,000 was missing.

Another complainant came to the police department the same day and gave a similar story, the second affidavit stated. After the complainant hired two people to do some yard work, a pair of diamond earrings and a diamond ring valued at a total of $4,500 turned up missing from the person’s home on Nottingham Street.

During the investigation, an NPD detective spoke to Mock, and he allegedly admitted to stealing the jewelry from both locations and selling it at a local jewelry store.
