NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Investigators with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office are seeking the public’s help in identifying two suspects who are wanted in connection to an aggravated robbery that occurred at a salvage yard on South Street Sunday night.

Nacogdoches County Sheriff Jason Bridges said in a press release that because the salvage yard on South Street has been dealing with ongoing thefts, its owners hired an employee to monitor the property during off-duty hours.

On Sunday night, the employee spotted a black man who was trespassing inside the salvage yard and was in the process of stealing items.

“The employee approached the male, and a physical alteration started between the two,” the press release stated. “The employee was then hit in the head with an unknown tool. Two male subjects then fled the area.”

A surveillance camera inside the salvage yard captured images of both subjects, the press release stated. The suspects were possibly driving a white, single cab Toyota pickup pulling a flatbed trailer.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers at (936) 560-INFO.
