TRINITY, TX (KTRE) -

Trinity police have arrested a woman accused of being intoxicated and crashing into a sign while dropping her child off at school Tuesday morning.

Officer Bureal Ferguson said the woman dropped her child off at Trinity High School before crashing into the curb, running up the sidewalk and through a sign.

Ferguson said he had suspicions Jacquelin Clopton, 46, of Trinity, was intoxicated on prescription medication. She was arrested for DWI.

“Even if people have legitimate problems that they need medication for, they must still be responsible,” Ferguson said.
