Lufkin Panthers pitcher Haylen Green signed his national letter of intent to play for TCU.
The lefty has topped out at throwing 91 mph which definitely caught the eyes of the Horned Frogs.
With several offers including Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech, Green narrowed his decision between TCU and Texas A&M. Green committed to TCU after the Horned Frogs beat the Aggies in the Super Regional of the College World Series last year.
“TCU’s been to the College World Series three out of the past five years and that helped with my decision because as a college athlete you want to go to the World Series,” said Green. “I’m ready for the next step to get to the better level in the Big 12.”
Green was an all-district honorable mention his sophomore year and a first-team all-district selection his junior year. The Lufkin Panther plans on studying business in Ft. Worth starting next year.
