ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Angelina County officials are coming together to put an end to the mudding on county roads in the Hudson and Pollok areas.
They say it's destroying the roads, some to a point where they are not passable, which poses a major problem if emergency vehicles need to use them.
It is also costing the taxpayer.
"It's against everyone in this county that's paying taxes because every time I have to spend a dollar on those roads, it's taking away from other roads I could be re-doing," said Angelina County Commissioner Greg Harrison.
Mudding is also causing damage to culverts and ditches, adding to repair costs.
Those caught in the act can be charged with a Class B Misdemeanor.
Those who see any mudding happening are urged to call the Angelina County Sheriff's Office.
