ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police raided a car and home off Lark Street and Lotus Lane Monday evening, believed to connected to the search for alleged shooter Terry "Chris" Criswell.
According to authorities, around 5 p.m. Monday, the department received a tip about Criswell's vehicle being spotted at a home on Lark Street where Criswell had apparently been staying. Multiple agencies including the Angelina County Sheriff's Office responded and evacuated two neighboring homes that share a private drive with the home.
Police say another neighbor told officers that Criswell's vehicle arrived at the home Sunday morning in the hours after Criswell allegedly shot 37-year-old Kevin Moore to death outside Annie Mae's Club in Cedar Grove around 2:30 a.m.
After the Angelina County Sheriff's Office obtained a search warrant, the Lufkin Police Special Response Team entered the home around 8:30 p.m., finding it empty.
Angelina County Sheriff Greg Sanches said he wanted to thank the Lufkin Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety for their help in what he described as the execution of a high-risk search warrant. "It's just good to see everyone come out and work together on a case like this for the betterment of the community," Sanches said. "We're working hard to make an arrest in this case."
Anyone with information on Criswell's location is asked to call the sheriff's office at 936-634-3332 or Crime Stoppers at 936-639-TIPS. All calls are confidential and you do not have to give your name. If the information you provide leads to Criswell's arrest or grand jury indictment, you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
