Jasper Co. Sheriff: Man jumped counter at store, stole $2.5K from register

JASPER COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Jasper County authorities are searching for a man who jumped behind the counter of a Brookeland convenience store and stole $2,500 from the cash register Monday.

Jasper County Sheriff Mitchel Newman said that Bobby Craddock jumped behind the counter of the Brookeland County Mart on US Highway 96. After he allegedly took $2,500 from the cash register, Craddock jumped back over the counter and ran.

Newman said Craddock didn’t have any weapons.

Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office are still looking for Craddock. Anyone with any information about Craddock’s whereabouts is urged to call the sheriff’s office at (409) 384-5417.
