ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Angelina County Department of Public Safety Troopers are searching for the driver of a car who struck a person riding a horse Saturday evening.
Troopers say the incident occurred on FM 2251 at Jerry Street in Angelina County, where the driver of a 2007-2011 silver Toyota Camry failed to stop and render aid after striking the victim. They say the driver fled the scene traveling southbound on FM 2251 with damage to the front portion of the vehicle.
Trooper Hendry says the victim was flown to Herman Hospital in Houston for treatment, but does not know the extent of the injuries. The horse survived.
