JASPER COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Jasper County authorities arrested a 30-year-old man in connection to allegations that he jumped behind the counter of a Brookeland convenience store on Nov. 18 and allegedly stole $2,500 from the cash register.

Bobby Neal Cratic, of Jasper, was arrested Saturday. Chief Deputy Glenn Blank with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office said that Cratic has been arraigned and was released from the county jail after he posted a bail amount of $25,000.

Jasper County Sheriff Mitchel Newman said Cratic jumped behind the counter of the Breookeland Country Mart on US Highway 96. After he allegedly took $2,500 from the cash register, Cratic jumped back over the counter and ran from the store.

Newman said Cratic didn’t have a weapon.
