Lufkin Salvation Army Angel Trees are up

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

The Salvation Army chapter in Lufkin is asking for you to give the gift of joy to a family in need with one of their Angel Trees.

The Angel Trees are designed to help families around Christmas. This year, more than 300 families have signed up.

Organizers ask if you pick an angel, you should buy at least one clothing item and one toy.

“People just want their children to have something for Christmas,” Captain Michelle Moore, with the Lufkin Salvation Army said. “With all the help and support from the community, I believe that Lufkin can do great things for the families.”

You can pick up an angel today. The deadline to return an angel is December 14,2016

Angel Tree locations include: Angelina Savings, Belk, Big Lots, Chi St. Luke's Health Memorial, Crown Colony, Hobby Lobby, Kmart, Lufkin Mall, Olive Garden, Outback, Southland Federal Credit Union, Walmart.
