Lufkin Rotary Club kicks off 59th annual Waffle Bake

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Waffle lovers listen up! The Lufkin Rotary Club has a treat for you this week.

The 59th annual Waffle Bake has officially kicked off Tuesday night. The bake is being held at the Angelina College Cafeteria in the evening.

"It's a really cool fun atmosphere. It's happy, how can you not be happy with syrup and waffles," Valena Spradley, the Lufkin Rotary club president said.

If you go, you can enjoy all you can eat waffles along with live entertainment, all while giving back at the same time.

"That's the thing we always said, is we kick off the holiday season, so come to the waffle bake," Spradley said. "We have live entertainment every night. As you look around we have families that have come since they were a little kid, and now they're married bringing their babies."

If you missed out Tuesday night don't worry the Waffle Bake is going until Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $5.00 for adults at the door and $3.00 for kids at the door.

All proceeds are used for community projects.
