NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches County deputies have arrested a Mt. Enterprise woman and Nacogdoches man accused of breaking into a Nacogdoches County business and hitting the owner with their vehicle after getting caught in the act Sunday morning.
According to a sheriff's office press release, deputies were called out to State Highway 7 west of Nacogdoches after a man had been hit by the vehicle. The business owner said he had seen a suspicious vehicle pull out of his business near his home early Sunday. He said he followed the vehicle until it pulled over and tried to confront the driver when the driver hit him with the vehicle, striking his leg.
Deputies discovered the business had been broken into and were able to identify the suspects. as Jason Arnold, 32, of Nacogdoches, and Whitney McHam, 27, of Mt. Enterprise. Deputies went to their trailer home and said they found equipment from hidden under the trailer which had been reported stolen from a separate burglary. They then searched the home and found items stolen from the business and arrested the duo.
