LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The Angelina County Business Hall of Fame inducted two new members into their prestigious club Thursday.
Edgar Charles Wareing and Horace M. Cardwell were honored and remembered at the ceremony held at Kurth Memorial Library.
Wareing, a plant engineer at Texas Foundries, is responsible for a lot of the zoning in place today in the city of Lufkin.
Cardwell, a former administrator at CHI Memorial St. Luke's Hospital was responsible for employing a 100 man staff to the hospital back in 1941.
Both men are deceased, but their families were there to accept the awards on their behalves.
