JASPER COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people Tuesday in connection to allegations that they held a couple at gunpoint and robbed them.

Ronnie Crofty, Katy Shaw, and Jamaar Tukes were all arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, according to Jasper County Sheriff Mitchel Newman.

Newman said the three suspects were hitchhiking on County Road 249 north of Jasper when the couple picked them up and gave them a ride. Later, they allegedly held the couple at gunpoint and robbed them, taking 90 prescription drug pills, their car keys, and cell phones.

JCSO deputies found the three suspects on CR 245 and took them into custody.
