NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Nacogdoches ISD is in the Christmas spirit. Two holiday events are underway.

The district's Bike Collection is winding down.

Tomorrow volunteers will deliver around one hundred bikes to Toys for Tots.

Then on Saturday the community is invited to Santa's Workshop.

"We will have crafts. We will games,” Patty Miller Nacogdoches ISD’s communication coordinator. “We will have cookies, hot chocolate. The choir from Brooks Quinn Jones will be singing and we will have a special visitor. Santa will be there."

Children will also be given a book.

Volunteers, many of them high school students, expect to entertain about 400 children. Free tickets to a NHS play will be given to students who stop off at five craft tables.

Santa's Workshop is Saturday from nine to noon at the Nacogdoches High School commons.
