JJ Watt intends to play the Patriots with broken left hand

HOUSTON, TX (KTRE) -

Houston Texans JJ Watt broke his left hand during Wednesday’s practice but has no plans on sitting out come Sunday against the New England Patriots.

Instead, Watt said he will play and doesn’t believe the injury will have much of an impact come game time. Head coach Bill O’Brien didn’t seem the slightest bit concerned either about Watt’s injury during Thursday’s press conference.

Watt didn’t practice Thursday and was spotted wearing a cast on his hand. He will wear the cast along with his usual elbow brace against the Patriots.

Houston will be hosting New England Sunday. Game will start at 7:30 p.m.
