'Resilient Nacogdoches' protest for climate change

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Dozens of protesters met at the courthouse in Nacogdoches to bring awareness to climate change. The organization Resilient Nacogdoches protested as a part two to their climate justice walk.

Organizers said they want a greener and safer world. Protesters encourage world leaders to take action towards moving from fossil fuels to clean energy.

“We’re here to say that in order to have a resilient community that can serve these changes and thrive through these changes, we need to work together and build local economies,” Eric Moll said.

Moll said the organization plans to put gardens in local schools and neighborhoods to help the community.
