LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Over the next few days, people traveling through downtown Lufkin will notice crews setting up for the first ever Yule Love Lufkin Christmas festival.
The four-day event will feature an ice skating rink and a Breakfast with Santa event on Saturday.
"We will have everything outside from a tree to a human snow globe that you can get inside and take a picture in," said Tara Watson Watkins, a spokeswoman for the Lufkin Convention and Visitors Bureau. "We have ice skating will be available that is $10 for every 30 minutes We have all types of food vendors, all types of shopping going on inside."
The event will kick off on Friday Dec. 18 with a special tree lighting at 5:45 p.m. outside of the convention center in downtown Lufkin.
Ice skating will cost $10. Breakfast with Santa will also cost $10, and tickets will need to be bought before hand at the Chamber of Commerce building.
