LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Tuesday, a few sixth graders in Lufkin decided to share the gift of knowledge.
Lufkin middle school 'STEM' students went to Herty Primary in an effort to get second graders excited about science technology and math.
Each of the sixth graders spent two weeks coming up with their very own lesson plan.
"I just gave them what the second grade standards are that they need to know," Jennifer Rudel, Lufkin middle school sixth grade science teacher said. "They built the lessons, they made all of the projects, and all of the handouts themselves. It's really good to see them thrive in what they're doing."
Teachers said because of this year's success they'll bring the STEM students back in the spring.
