COLLEGE STATION, TX- In one week, the Aggies have lost two quarterbacks. Kyle Allen decided to transfer last week and on Thursday, Kyler Murray has made the decision to transfer as well according to TexAgs.com's Billy Liucci.
According to ESPN Murray will not play in the Aggies Music City bowl game. ESPN is also reporting that Murray was released from his scholarship and can transfer to any school as long as it isn't an SEC school or a team that A&M will play within four years.
Head coach Kevin Sumlin spoke with Murray and his family Wednesday and told the quarterback not to come to practice. Sumlin said he expected Murray to start in their Music City Bowl game December 30th, but it was reported that Murray did not show up for Thursday's practice either.
The only quarterbacks left on the A&M roster are Jake Hubenak and Conner McQueen.
