LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Christmas dinner is a time often spent with family and friends, but what about those who are alone during the holiday season?
It's a problem one local business is hoping to solve.
Manhattan's Fine Dining in Downtown Lufkin is hoping to feed 500 Deep East Texans who may otherwise go without a meal this Christmas Eve.
Several pounds of spaghetti and an immeasurable amount of love will go into Thursday's meal, all to spread some much needed holiday cheer.
"Many people think that they are forgotten or have no family, so I'm trying to tell them that we are still around, they still have friends and they are not forgotten," said Destin Sabani, the owner of Manhattan's.
The dinner is tomorrow from 2:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. at 107 West Lufkin Avenue in Lufkin.
