NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - After Nacogdoches Police officers went to check out a report of a prowler at a home in the 1000 block of Harris Street early Wednesday morning, they arrested a 17-year-old man on a burglary charge.
Bryan Anderson, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a second-degree burglary of a habitation charge. No bail amount has been set at this time.
According to the Nacogdoches Police Department's daily activity report, the burglary occurred sometime between 2:45 and 2:57 p.m. Wednesday. When NPD officers arrived on the scene, they made contact with Anderson and learned that he had entered the garage to the home and taken property without permission.
After resident said he wished to file charges, Anderson was arrested at the scene and taken to the county jail.
Sgt. Brent Handy with the Nacogdoches Police Department said he couldn't go into a great deal of detail about what items were taken because the case is still under investigation. He simply said that Anderson took a number of "personal items" from the garage.
