NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches Police officers arrested a 22-year-old man after they responded to a disturbance call, and he allegedly interfered with the officers during their investigation and then resisted arrest when they tried to handcuff him.
The man was also found to be in possession of a felony amount of a controlled substance, according to the Nacogdoches Police Department's daily activity report.
Burman Damain Ervine, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a state-jail possession of a controlled substance charge, a Class A misdemeanor resisting arrest charge, and a Class B misdemeanor interfere with public duties charge.
According, to the NPD daily activity report, the incident happened in the 100 block of E. Seale Street at about 12:57 a.m. Monday. When the officers arrived on the scene, Ervine allegedly tried to interfere with their investigation.
Then when they tried to put him in handcuffs, he resisted them, the report stated. Once Ervine was taken into custody, he was allegedly found to be in possession of a felony amount of a controlled substance.
Ervine was arrested at the scene and taken to the county jail.
