CHICAGO, IL- The 2016 McDonald's All American Games nominees were released Tuesday and East Texas has made a splash on the list.
Starting with the girls roster, three East Texans have made the cut. Lufkin's NaTasha Mack has been nominated for the Games, as well as Central Heights' Jodi Adkins and Jessica Munoz.
The only boy in this area of East Texas to make the cut was Jason Walker from Grapeland.
Out of a pool of 800 nominees nationwide, only 24 boys and 24 girls will be selected to participate in the Games. The final rosters will be finalized at a later date. For a complete list of the nominees, click here.
The game will be held in Chicago at United Center for the sixth consecutive year.
The games will tip-off March 30, 2016. The girls will play first and their game will air live on ESPNU at 5:30 p.m. CT. The boys will play after and their game will be broadcasted live on ESPN at 8:00 p.m. CT.
Former players who played on this stage include Earvin "Magic" Johnson, Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Chris Paul, James Harden, Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose.
