According to NFL.com, Lufkin native Dez Bryant had surgery Wednesday morning on his foot and ankle in New York.
This will be Bryant’s second surgery on the same foot he broke in the Dallas Cowboys’ season opener.
Bryant did return November 1 before he was later sidelined again for the final two weeks of the regular season because of the lingering foot injury, in addition to an ankle injury.
ESPN ‘s Todd Archer reported that the wide receiver had an additional bone graft put in the same area as the initial graft placed in September. Archer also stated that Bryant had bone spurs in his ankle repaired.
The Dallas Cowboys believe this surgery will not limit him once the offseason program in April begins.
