From Stephen F. Austin University
NACOGDOCHES, TX (Press Release)- Stephen F. Austin State University men's basketball coach Brad Underwood will participate in the American Cancer Society's Coaches vs. Cancer for a second year at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at SFA's William R. Johnson Coliseum when the Lumberjacks take on Lamar University and cancer.
“It’s time we all do our part and end this dreaded disease before it affects any more friends and family members of yours or mine,” Underwood said.
Coach Underwood is challenging Lumberjack fans to pledge a flat donation of at least $10 or donate a pledged amount for every 3-point shot made by the Lumberjacks. The minimum amount one can pledge is $1 for every 3-point shot made by the Lumberjacks during the Lamar game.
The Coaches vs. Cancer program is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches that empowers basketball coaches, their teams and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer.
