NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - After 25 years as election administrator for Nacogdoches County, Debra Gaston has retired.
The retirement was effective December 21 said a spokesperson with the Nacogdoches County Judges office.
It didn't become widely known until this week when the Election Commission and county commissioners met to officially accept the resignation.
Gaston is caring for an ill mother which demands much of her time. Election preparations are underway by Todd Stallings who has worked numerous past elections. Gaston's replacement will be addressed at a later date.
