Madisonville man dead in three-vehicle wreck in Houston County

HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

One person has been killed in a three vehicle wreck in Houston County Friday morning.

According to DPS, Lois Horace, 75, of Crockett, was driving a 2003 Peterbilt truck tractor semi-trailer at 8:05 a.m. on FM 1280, seven miles west of Lovelady. He was turning right into a driveway when he was struck from behind by an eastbound 2008 Lincoln car, driven by Geraldine Gardner, 71, of Lovelady. The crash caused the Lincoln to spin back into FM 1280 and then a 1986 Chevy pickup, driven by Larry Harrison, 61, of Madisonville, slammed into the back of the rig.

Gardner was taken to a Crockett hospital. Harrison was taken to a Palestine hospital. One passenger of the Chevy, Raymond Brown, of Madisonville, was flown to a Tyler hospital and a second passenger, Tommy Anderson, 65, of Madisonville, died at the scene.
