NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department arrested a 28-year-old woman after she allegedly got into an argument with her significant other and then attacked him with a knife Sunday night
According to the Nacogdoches Police Department's daily activity report, Juanita Simon Tutt, of Nacogdoches, also allegedly assaulted another family member during the incident.
Tutt is still being held in the Nacogdoches County jail on two first-degree felony aggravated assault of a date, family member, or housemate charges. No bail amounts have been set at this time.
According to the activity report, NOD officers were dispatched to the Eastwood Terrace apartment complex in the 3200 block of Phoenix Terrace at about 8:03 p.m. Sunday in response to a report of a loud argument between a live-in couple that turned violent.
When the officers arrived on the scene, they learned that Tutt had caused "substantial injury" to her significant other.
"Another family member was also seriously injured in the assault," the report stated.
Tutt was arrested at the scene and taken to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
