Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week: Lufkin businesses burglarized

LUFKIN, TX (News Release) - From Deep East Texas Crime Stoppers

East Texas law enforcement investigators are trying to solve year-end burglaries that occurred at two meat processing businesses and a pizza restaurant.

Over the night of December 27, several masked burglars pried open a door to Massingill Meat Market on Highway 69 North. They damaged the interior of the business taking a safe but abandoned it behind the building. The next night, Little Caesar's Pizza and Renfro's Packing, both in Lufkin, were burglarized for their safes.

Video from Renfro's shows three masked burglars entering through a window and attempting to beat and pry open a safe that was too large for them to carry away. A forth suspect, wearing a camouflage pattern hooded jacket, remained outside the building.

Cameras at Little Caesar's captured video of three masked burglars prying open a door and dragging away a safe. The safe was taken to the rear of the building and the final moments of the videos show a Ford F150, possibly silver in color, briefly stopping behind the building, likely to pick up the safe, and then heading back the way it came.

The three criminals on video at Little Caesar's appear to be, based upon clothing and tools, the same people who burglarized Renfro's. Video of the crimes is posted at
