Pet Adoptions

by Jessica Cervantez

More than 4,000 animals were euthanized last year in Nacogdoches County. Only a little more than 900 were adopted.

As summer gets closer, animal shelters across East Texas will be getting lots of unwanted animals, especially kittens. That means many pets are available for adoption.

But, owning a pet is a big responsibility.

The Nacogdoches County Animal Shelter will be hosting a low-budget rabies shot clinic on April 30th. The shots will cost anywhere from $6.00-$10.00. They will be given at the animal shelter off the Nacogdoches loop from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
