LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The cafeteria of Brandon Elementary was transformed into an early American market on Thursday.
The market was put together by the 5th grade gifted and talented students. The students were required to pick a profession and then put a presentation board together and costume. The students became teachers for the day as the rest of the school funneled into the cafeteria and learned what it was like to live in early America. Some of the professions included a seamstress, blacksmith, glass maker, whaler and baker.
