NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - For the second year in a row, SFA's Office of Multicultural Affairs shined a light on diversity.
Students and people from all backgrounds came together to be a part of a powerful conversation. This year, 275 people were scheduled to attend the event.
Attendees got to learn about a variety of issues that people of different backgrounds face in everyday life.
"One reason we have this event is to bring different groups together, and to show that differences are beautiful," Osaro Airen, SFA Director of Multicultural Affairs said. "It doesn't matter what your background is, we all just deserve respect."
Topics of discussion ranged from the transgender experience to religious identity. The theme of this conference was hidden faces.
