NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Hannah Harris, a Lamp-Lite performer since she was a little girl, is now a Stephen F. Austin State University freshman opera student, and she is still sharing her talents with the Nacogdoches community theatre.
Musical director Shirley Watterston is sharing her talents as well. The accomplished pianist and singer are joining other talented people in the Lamp-Lite Players Musical Revue. It's happening tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday.
"I've taken songs from past musicals we've done," Watterston said. "You know, we've been doing them for 40 years, and I tried to hit the highlights of different ones. And some of the people singing will be people who have sung those musicals. I think this is one for all ages too. It's not necessarily for people who remember the shows from way back. It's just a very happy musical evening."
Watterston and Harris sound like they're well-rehearsed for three performances. The first is Friday night, followed by Saturday night and a Sunday matinee shows. The musical revue is one weekend only.
