Angelina Co. authorities arrest woman after high-speed chase

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A Lufkin woman spent the night in jail after leading Angelina County authorities on a high speed chase Friday on Highway 103 East and FM 842. 

Authorities arrested Teresa Lopez, 23, after she allegedly fled from officers reaching speeds of over 100 miles per hour.

According to Sheriff Greg Sanches, Lopez turned her headlights off during the chase, nearly crashed, and ran off the roadway before she came to a stop.

Lopez is charged with evading arrest, driving while intoxicated, and seven traffic warrants from Lukfin Police Department.

Lopez posted a bond of $6,500.
