From Deep East Texas Crime Stoppers

January 03, a truck was stolen from the parking lot of Pilgrim's Pride in Lufkin.  Later that night, a friend of the truck's owner happened upon the truck at a convenience store and contacted the police department.

The two men who had been driving the truck fled on foot when confronted by the friend and responding officers located one of them.  He was arrested for public intoxication but claimed he was a passenger in the truck and said he did not know the driver.

The suspects left crack cocaine and drug pipes in the truck.

Video from the convenience store shows that the arrested suspect lied.  That man drove the truck to the store and the actual passenger has not yet been identified so Crime Stoppers wants your help figuring out who he is.  Portions of the video are posted at

The passenger is a white male and he was wearing a brown bomber-style jacket over a green hoodie and an orange bill baseball cap with a white "A" on its front.  "Ireland" is printed or embroidered in white script letters on the hood that he pulled over his head soon after exiting the truck.

If you can identify the passenger, call Deep East Texas Crime Stoppers at (936) 639-TIPS or submit a tip at  Crime Stoppers calls and tips are anonymous and the first, most accurate tip that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward but Crime Stoppers only pays rewards for information submitted directly to Crime Stoppers and that was not previously provided to or known by law enforcement.
