TRINITY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

After coming up on the agenda three times,  the Trinity County judge and commissioners made a decision on the open carry laws in their county buildings.

The county decided to go with the state laws in place.

Residents will not be able to carry prohibited weapons into offices tied to the courthouse.

They'll use signs to cover the areas in the court house where guns are not allowed to notify visitors.

"We felt that this is something concrete we have in place that we can enforce now without having possibilities of litigation," said Judge Doug Page.
