LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The two men accused of throwing chainsaws out a car window during a high-speed chase through three East Texas counties will be back in court Tuesday.
Richard Kay already pleaded guilty to evading arrest and unauthorized use of a vehicle. He's fighting his aggravated assault against a public servant charge.
Kay and his co-defendant Dennis Arceneaux were arrested after several hours of leading officers on a chase through Angelina, Nacogdoches and Cherokee Counties in August of 2015.
Arceneaux is also fighting his assault against a public servant charge.
The state is expected to finish up their evidence before handing the case off to the defense Tuesday.
