LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

It's tax season, and if you don't have the funds to use a tax service, an East Texas library is hosting a tax-filing service you can take advantage of.

Volunteers with AARP are helping residents file at the Kurth Library in Lufkin. There is no age or income requirement to come.

Coordinators explain what few things you need to bring.

“People need to bring last year’s return, and their Social Security numbers for everybody that’s on the return,” Sarah Oliver, a coordinator for the tax service said. “If they want it direct deposited, then they need to bring their check and bank information.”

The free service is on Tuesday and Thursdays from 9 a.m to 1 p.m.

This will continue until April 13th.
