Garrison ISD voted at their school board meeting Thursday night to hire Larry Prince as their new Athletic Director and Head Football Coach.
Prince has 22 years of coaching and teaching experience. He’s also very familiar with Garrison as he was with the Bulldogs from 1996-2005.
During that time Prince served as the football team’s defensive coordinator. He won a state title in 2003 and was a state finalist in 2001.
Since then Prince has coached at Tatum, Bandera and most recently comes from Dawson ISD.
At Tatum, Prince was the defensive coordinator when they won back-to-back state titles in 2005 and 2006.
Garrison received over 60 applications for the formally open position. Prince will begin his stunt in Garrison March 28th.
