POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A Livingston man was found with self-inflicted wounds early Saturday, according to a report released by Lieutenant Mark Jones with the Polk County Sheriffs Office.

At 7:20 a.m. Polk County Sheriffs deputies were searching for a man they believed was suicidal.

According to a report, Polk County Sheriff deputies found Jason Wilson, 50, in a vehicle outside a residence in Wild Country.

In the report Jones said deputies attempted to talk Wilson out of the vehicle. However, Wilson proceeded to drive it towards officials, at that moment deputies shot at the vehicle in efforts to stop it from moving.

Wilsons vehicle traveled through a wooden area and struck a tree, which caused the vehicle to come to a complete stop.

Jones said Wilson got out of the vehicle with a weapon, and at that moment deputies tased Wilson.

Wilson was taken to CHI Saint Lukes hospital in Livingston with self-inflicted wounds and is listed in stable condition.

Wilson is in the hospital in Sheriffs custody on an outstanding warrant for Motion to Revoke Probation, the original charge was Injury to a Child. He is also being charged with evading with a vehicle.
