Early voting begins across East Texas

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Early voting for the March Primary started Tuesday.

Voters took to the polls to vote on races for positions across the county they live in as well as the state and national races.

First day turnout numbers show around 340 voters in Angelina County and just over 400 in Nacogdoches County. Voters heading to the polls will have to bring a valid ID card with them to vote. They also must be registered to vote. Early voting runs through Feb. 26 with the primary taking place the following Tuesday.
