NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A traffic stop had led to the arrest of a Nacogdoches man and Lufkin woman on felony drug charges.
Christopher Ray Galvan, 24, is charged with second-degree possession of a controlled substance misdemeanor-A tampering with identification numbers and misdemeanor-A driving with license invalid. HIs bond is $108,000. Megan Marie Woodard, 21, is charged with state-jail felony possession of a controlled substance and two misdemeanor-A possession of a controlled substance. Her bond is set collectively at $18,000.
According to Sheriff Jason Bridges, investigators had been working on an investigation on Galvan related to meth distribution. He said deputies stopped him on Old Lufkin Road for a traffic violation Friday afternoon and found 40 grams of crystal meth and a pistol in the console of the car, while he was being arrested for DWLI.
Bridges said the serial numbers on the pistol had been filed off.
Deputies then got a search warrant for Galvan's home on County Road 6104 and reported finding a gram of meth and several pills. They arrested Woodard at the home.
