Law enforcement agencies all across Texas are gearing up for the 2016 Great Texas Warrant Round-up. If you think you might be on the long list of citizens with warrants, you have a few days to clear them up.

It starts Saturday, March 5th.  That's when over 300 agencies will try to bring defendents with warrants into compliance with court orders.
The city of Zavalla has over 318 active warrants right now, adding up to over $80,000 in fines, fees, and court costs.

"There are failure to appear fines that are added when you don't appear or violate your promise to appear with the court. It's an additional fine. It can even go to a collection agency which adds more costs, so the sooner you take care of a ticket, the less expensive it will be," said Julie Alston, Municipal Judge of Zavalla, Huntington, and Diboll.

To take care of active warrants in Zavalla, you may visit the city hall at 838 East Main Street. If you resolve the issues before March 5th, you will not be arrested.
