LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin dog has been reunited with her family.
When we reported last week that a terrier mix named Georgia needed a good home, it turned out she already had one, and her name was Oreo.
Oreo went missing from her owner's yard when someone left the gate open.
After a week of looking for her, they saw the story on East Texas News and picked her up from Winnie Berry Friday morning.
Her owner, Robert Sanchez, 7, and his family, are absolutely thrilled to have their companion back home.
"I want to thank Winnie Berry for giving her shelter for a week, and I'm really excited to have her back," Sanchez said.
Now there is a lock on the gate, and Oreo is micro-chipped, so if she ever gets out again, she can be found easily.
